"The earth is but one country, and mankind its citizens." Bahá’u’lláh
The profound changes in the world today require a new vision of the nature and purpose of religion. Religion in the true sense enables people to develop spiritual qualities, create an uplifting vision for the future, and take courageous social action. True spirituality enables diverse groups and communities to explore reality together and forge a common purpose.
"Bahá’u’lláh has drawn the circle of unity. He has made a design for the uniting of all the peoples, and for the gathering of them all under the shelter of the tent of universal unity." -'Abdu'l-Baha

One Loving Creator"The peoples of the world, of whatever religion, derive their inspiration from one heavenly Source, and are the subjects of one God."
“. . . God, the unknowable Essence, the Divine Being, is immensely exalted beyond every human attribute, such as corporeal existence, ascent and descent, egress and regress. Far be it from His glory that human tongue should adequately recount His praise, or that human heart comprehend his fathomless mystery.” Bahá’u’lláh |
One Human FamilyThe human family is wonderfully diverse in culture and experience. Baha'i Sacred Writings liken us to a beautiful garden in which the uniqueness of each member enriches the beauty of the whole. Acceptance of the oneness of humanity requires the abandonment of prejudices of all kinds—race, class, color, creed, religion, nation, gender, anything that enables people to feel superior to others.
"The world of humanity is like a garden and the various races are the flowers which constitute its adornment and decoration.... When you enter a rose garden the wealth of color and variety of floral forms spread before you a picture of wonder and beauty." |
