Youth and Junior Youth Programs
Empowering a New Generation
Youth have played a vital role in Bahá’í history. The Báb Himself declared His mission when He was but twenty-five years old and so many among the band of His followers were in the prime of their youth when they embraced His Revelation.
Following in the path that these and other extraordinary figures opened, thousands of young Bahá’ís have arisen in each generation to respond to the call of Bahá’u’lláh. Their efforts are guided by the Head of the Bahá’í Faith—today, the Universal House of Justice—which encourages young Bahá’ís to draw on the zeal and enthusiasm characteristic of the period of youth and make decisive contributions to the advancement of spiritual and material civilization. The scope of the guidance and encouragement provided by the Universal House of Justice and of the response of young Bahá’ís today is vast. Follow the links on this page to catch a glimpse of what is happening. |
Young people are the key to our future. They have energy, idealism and the desire to contribute to a better world. It is essential that we value, encourage and channel their potential. Through patterns of behaviour that balance spiritual and material requirements of life, youth discover personal growth and meaning in their lives.
There are several youth and junior youth programs in the Greater Victoria Area. Contact us for further information.
Our youth programs are open to the public, and are attended by people of all backgrounds and beliefs, of all races and cultures, without obligation. They are facilitated by trained volunteers. There are no fees, and no donations are solicited or accepted. These programs are a gift from the Baha'is of Oak Bay.
