Prayer and Community Service
"Service to humanity is service to God. Let the love of the light of the Kingdom radiate through you until all who look upon you shall be illumined by it's reflection." Baha'i Sacred Writings
Our programs are open to the public, and are attended by people of all backgrounds and beliefs, of all races and cultures. No donations are solicited or accepted. These programs are a gift from the Baha'is of Oak Bay.

All religions teach us to pray and also to serve others. Baha's pray and meditate individually each morning and evening. In addition, they come together in devotional gatherings. In these gatherings they gain inspiration that fuels personal transformation, as well as social change.
Baha'is worldwide are joining with their friends and neighbours to create devotional opportunities in diverse settings, where people of all backgrounds and beliefs come together in an uplifting experience. These devotional meetings are simple gatherings of ordinary people who long to commune with their Creator. The meetings are as creative in content and format as the people who participate. They can include prayer, meditation, music, art, drama, poetry and inspirational readings. How do Baha'is worship? "Strive that your actions, day by day, may be beautiful prayers." “Responding to the inmost longing of every heart to commune with its Maker, they carry out acts of collective worship in diverse settings, uniting with others in prayer, awakening spiritual susceptibilities, and shaping a pattern of life distinguished for its devotional character.” Ridván 2008, para. 1
